The problems we face in our society today are global, in order to provide a series of creative ideas to find a better solution, a collaboration website from schools arround the world has been created by the National Association of Independent Schools in united states, this website helps to provide solutions with a program called 20/20 Challenge, this website suggests the most representative global problems, refering to inequity, poverty, global warming and ecologycal impact, the point is to collaborate with other schools somewhere in the world and based on the units of the school propose a solution, some problems are the same in different countries, and collabotarion, and creative solutions can make the difference

A project  that can be done in ASF, considering it is recognized as green school is, students would identify, causes and consequences and the environmental impact that deforestation causes, the project will be to find a teacher in another school that has the same interest and explain the characteristics of each country, what can be done, what the better solution is and how this project can make a difference, students will be encouraged to develop a project that can help the community, the environment and the planet.

Creativity in the 21st Century

There is a mismatch between what science knows and what education does.
How can you, as a teacher leader, remodel the actual educational system based on rewards, to promote creative abilities of your 21 st Century students?

After watching this video I believe, rewards system in education worked well in the past, all students were conditioned not only in school but at home and in society, However I am glad to see this model is changing, I agree with the video that this system can work but some people but limits others, the way that technology is moving and changind people reality leads to a need to think and act differently.

Me as a techer leader, will remodel the actual educational system based on rewards, by engaging the students with learning by letting them be creative, come up with ideas, try them, discuss them and make it theirs, instead of  having them focus on the reward and narrow their vision I would let the choose the way in wich they want to committ with projects, the way they would like to reflect, I would give them time to brainstorm, discuss and explore what their interests are and how can they come up with something new, I wil also move from the knowledge holder position and be open to learn from students, witch reality is different than mine, I would also like to make them think about the Idea of what would they like to be in life, followers or leaders.

I think that moving to a creative learning system can give students skills that will lead to different opportunities in their profesional life, I think they will choose an option closer to what they really like to do in their life,  They will be able to do better choices  instead of spending time studying a major they will never work on, like Dan Pink, the presenter, and also create their own opportunities intead of depending on a company.

After watching the video tutorial What is PBL?, I believe that the main difference between PBL and just doing projects is the teachers flexibility and ability to teach in a different way , and also a different way that they were taught, I think PBL requiere more planning more creativity and commitment, for me it becomes a challenge for both teachers and students, that really helps both parts to engage with learning. I created the chart bellow in order to describe what the main differences in both models are for me, in the middle I wrote the aspects that caught my attention in the right side I wrote the results for Doing Projects and in the left side the PBL ones.
